A sister for Rachel

Post by Lakys » Tue Oct 02, 2007 8:55 pm

As a big fan of Thorne & Sarsa's, I often purchase their products and love their cute characters, amazing textures.

On the other hand, playing with V4 which is already a tall woman, shaped with morphes to make her look skiny and like a teenager, might not be suitable for every scenes.

So this thread tends to be an approach to adapt and to make an grown-up character, with a medium size (unlike a model) and measures, not skiny from Rachel.

First try:
- Rachel (to the right) with her D|S material preset
- her sister (to the left), with USMP and V4.1 body morphes adjusted.

Constructive cristisms are more than welcome.

I can post the presets before it is finished if some of you are intested to improve and to refine it further.

I am also pondering whether to alter the head morphes as well.

Good work. :)

Same here, but curiously I wasn't tempted by this character so I've let the promo pass.
I am also pondering whether to alter the head morphes as well. Rolling Eyes
Thorne custom morphs are a PITA to modify (at least with the morph dials) so good luck at it!

As I like to use expression morphes, I made the head with the Rachel morph set to 0%.
I guess we loose much of the cuteness of the character, but we get a face which can be adjusted slightly with morph dials.

Two new renders of the WIP.

Previous character looked somewhat scary using some other camera angles.

I have refined the face balance, nose higher and shorter, mouth higher, eyes readjusted.

I find the result better, still not perfect

I attach the material preset (sorry it uses only a single makeup) and the preset including the morph dials for Victoria 4.1.

Requires DAZ|Studio 1.7.1.9 or further.

Oh thank you! :D

Look! You made her smiling. :o
(Happy: 21.1% and Surprised 5.5%)

I am glad that I can still get some good response with expression morphs.

Very nice, I like the smiling one a lot! Grabbed the morph preset and will try it with another texture I have.

Played a little with expressions, this is your morph with 'Sam' texture.
Still some things to tweak. I hate V4 eyes!

You mean things concerning highlights (and surfaces)? Or the eye shape?

We really need to reopen the topic I am afraid. :?

Okay. Let's continue the discussion on V4's eyes from there.
