Well, I'd like to see a script as well. Is there one on the way?

I've been very lazy about V4 eyes in my renders, but not many of them are closeup shots.

We are still out in the wilderness here. I use elite eyes for Lana, eye lights product. V4 eyes still look bad. In fact they are now the worst part of V4 elites. Although they also don't do lips well either. I have been fiddling with the eyes with the following:
. Modify the curvature of the cornea to make it bulge more.
. Make the iris curvature go farther in. That creates some kind of depth to the eye. Your versions like sameyes No 8 is way better than I have been able to get.
. By adjusting the curve of the iris, I can get most of it to go away, better but still not like yours.
. There is a freebie out there (I will locate and provide link if you want) by ramwolf that fixes the eye shine for V4 in its basic form. For purchase is D/S Eyelights for V4 elite (Lana). These have various setting for the reflection at different times of the day and location. It seems like the best step from these products is to make tear fluid beneath the eye invisible.
One of the more interesting of approaches I've seen is to hide all of V4 except for the eye. Then view it as an "egg" shape and adjust cornea etc. to match the egg shape of the eye.
That at least gets the eye and cornea in place.
The basic eyes or elites seem dull and certainly not alive in some way. I would very much like to see what surface and shape settings you used to create the much better appearance of the eyes in this thread. Not interested in script and looks like you all probably ran out of time to do it anyway.

Well, it doesn't seem to be easy indeed.

A couple years ago, Weimart and I worked on some project for V4 eyes, including texture, shaders. We arrived to something very decent, good we could say, but not as realistic (yet) as we would expect it to be.
What gives eyes life, are the reflection, highlights, we still had to explore this area.
Hopefully someday, we will find some spare time to complete it. :)
