JakiBlue's DAZ Studio Content Organization Method

Post by drdancm » Sat Dec 20, 2008 4:36 am

I found JakiBlue's method for organizing the DS Content to be the best I have ever heard and I'm just about to implement it.

You can download an excellent PSD of how she does it.

http://forum.daz3d.com/viewtopic.php?t=96858&highlight=

Not only it is the most rational method but it is very clearly written with lots of examples, you can really understand which folder you may or may not move around. So, once you understand what's allowed and what is not, you can re-organize your folders to your own unique preference.

I find this to be far better than the Content Manager, which I think is a great idea, which is implemented poorly. For example the max columns width is too narrow and I can't read my long folder names. I also find that moving one item at a time is too inefficient.

Let me know what you think of JakiBlue's approach.
