Playing around in Hexagon

Post by cowdog » Mon Jun 22, 2009 11:11 pm

Okay, I know this has been done before, but I wanted to play around with this myself... so I started building the B9 (Lost in Space) robot from scratch... This, I'm guessing based on what I've done so far, is going to be a long, tedious process...

It seems you have started well. :)

For those not knowing what is Lost in Space or that B9 robot, you can have a look at this. It helps understanding what Cowdog is trying to achieve here.

Here's a quick and dirty render in Carrara... The panels on the "brain" have transparencies associated with them, but I haven't applied them here.

Here's what I have to date. The transparencies for the robot's brain plate are crude and will need to be reworked in the future. I am currently working the the robot's radar assembly...

Edit: Seems like I'm having trouble adding an attachment since the max size seems to be 0; will add picture later.

You might need to retry. I had the upload permission misconfigured due to the migration. Sorry.
